The year 2024 will be remembered as the year in which EU environmental legislation will undergo a significant evolutionary leap. Not only will the regulations
already in force broaden their impact on all industrial sectors in Europe and at home, including of course the lift and escalator sector, but even ambitious new regulations will see the light of day and begin to produce their effects on production chains. During an event, held on 1st February 2024, the AssoAscensori association, part of Federazione ANIE, wanted to dedicate a special moment of disclosure and discussion to illustrate how and when these legislations will affect the lift sector. The ultimate goal was to prepare member companies to meet the growing challenges and seize the business opportunities arising from the future regulatory framework.

Indeed, the future requirements may represent an opportunity to demonstrate the clear superiority of the European industryʼs products in terms of quality and sustainability.
